Leadership

Guiding the Vision. Leading the Shift to Reuse.

Carrie Bachelder
Founder and Executive Director

Carrie Bachelder is a national leader in material recovery and reuse system design. As Founder and Executive Director of Reuse Station, she builds scalable infrastructure that reclaims, repurposes, resalvages, and recirculates surplus before it becomes waste.

Her work moves materials back into use, preserving embedded energy, cutting emissions, and strengthening community economies. She designs active recovery networks, policy-aligned diversion hubs, and real-world logistics systems rooted in direct fieldwork: deconstruction, intake, resale, and redistribution.

Carrie’s partnerships span public agencies, builders, artists, and haulers, all connected by a shared commitment to regenerate value from the waste stream. Her mission is not repair at the margins. It is full-scale material reinvention, creating the reuse marketplaces that a zero waste future demands.
